ADC Viewer Example Session: 12
IMPReSS: Observation Plot & Display
Frame 3 displays the plot and list of the observations found
in your region from the selected missions.
The output includes:
- Plot: The observation footprints are plotted
here. The map is clickable: if you click on a point,
only those observations that contain that point will remain.
- Data access: Links to the data centers holding the
actual data plotted.
These links will deliver you from this site to the
separate sites that archive the data. They offer information
regarding:
- Data products.
- Missions/instruments.
- Research support.
- Observation list: Mission, coordinates, and date
for each observation plotted
TO GO ON:
To see how map-clicking works, click on the blue IUE
observation to see the list limited to the IUE and ASCA
observations at that point. (Note: Since this is just an example,
clicking the map anywhere will give you that result.)
Click on the data center links to see how to access
browse images and the actual observations listed here. These examples
are from external sites.
This is the end of the tutorial. You've gone from
browsing an ADC catalog to the actual data sources in one sequence. Not
bad, huh?
EXAMPLE BELOW
If you click on the map, only observations that include the
position of the click will remain.
