Catseye: Choosing plot parameters
This frame contains the list of saved tables in your session, with the
most current at the top. In this example we've only produced one table
(by default named yourTable.dat). The X and Y parameters are selected
for 2-D plots.
Each file listing contains:
- File name
- "Plot this catalog?" option
- X parameter menu
- Y parameter menu
- Plot symbol menu
- "Connect data points?" option
The columns of the selected table appear in the menus for X and Y to be
plotted. Here, as an example, we'll plot Mag10, the magnitude of the 10th
brightest galaxy in the cluster (a surrogate for distance) versus Pop,
the mean apparent population of the cluster.
TO GO ON: Press Generate Plot.
