Viewer/Catseye/IMPReSS Tutorial
This example session shows the basic functionality of the ADC
Catalog Viewer, Catseye (a plotting tool),
and IMPReSS (an observation finder).
Each page of this example is "canned", i.e. they are not fully
functional. Replicas of the Viewer pages are shown below the the double
lines, following the explanatory text.
Table of Contents
- Viewer: Browses ADC Catalogs and
Journal Tables.
- Select table: select
a table from the catalog or journal table to browse.
- Specify fields:
Choose desired fields and their ranges.
- Cull table: Cull and
sort requested table.
- Catseye:
Produces 2-D scatterplots from tables produced in the Viewer.
- Parameters: Choose tables
and parameters to plot.
- Display: Display and
rescale requested plot.
- Point listing: Display
table records of clicked points.
- IMPReSS: Plots
observation footprints of multiple missions in a specified region of
sky.
- Sky region: Select region
of sky and time period.
- Mission selection: Select
missions for footprint plotting.
- Observation plot: Display
footprints on sky region and link to corresponding archived data.
