Catalog & Journal Table Data Sets

The machine-readable versions of astronomical catalogs and published journal tables in the ADC's archives are available either via the Internet or on CD-ROM or other computer media. Methods for locating these data sets via the Internet are listed below.

Note: Once you find a data set of interest, you will be able to download it, or - for many data sets - look at it using the ADC Archive Data Viewer Interface.

1. Search Catalog and Journal Table Documents (See "Suggestions for Searching".)

Fill in Any or All Search Fields Below
Words in Catalog Descriptions: Lead Author's Last Name: Year Published (e.g., 1993): Find Items with: All Search Words (Any Order) At Least One Search Word (Hint: To find cases of related words with different endings, like "galaxy" or "galaxies" enter the stem of the word followed by an asterisk (*). For example: "galax*" )

2. Browse Listings of ADC's Holdings & External Data Set Links

[ Caution: Certain catalogs in the ADC's collection are quite large (greater than 50 Megabytes). Users may not want to wait for such large files to transfer via FTP. We recommend asking for a copy on tape or CD-ROM instead! ]
